Description
In this class you will make a sampler quilt top from the following 12 traditional quilt blocks: Nine-Patch, Rail Fence, Log Cabin, Pinwheel, Sawtooth, Bear Paw, Flying Geese, Kaleidoscope, Swamp Angel, Square and Stars, Attic Window and August Spool. Class meets the following Fridays, 10:30-1:30: March 14, March 28, April 11, April 25, May 9, May 23 and June 6
WHAT TO BRING
Sew machine in good working order, power cord, foot control
All purpose presser foot
1/4" piecing presser foot
Walking foot or Even feed presser foot (optional, but highly recommended)
50 wt cotton thread to coordinate with your fabric
Size 80/12 Universal needles
Size 90/14 Topstitch or Quilting needles
Snips for trimming
Seam ripper
Fabric marker (chalk, air erasable, water soluble, Frixion pen, etc)
Pins or Wonder Clips
Rotary cutter, cutting mat and 6" x 24" quilting ruler
12.5" x 12.5" square ruler (optional, but recommended)
6.5" x 6.5" square ruler (optional, but recommended)
Fabric: For the first class please bring a fat quarter to practice rotary cutting. This is a great stash buster or fat quarter friendly project. We will discuss fabric requirements for the quilt during the first class.
